What is WACC?
WACC is the extended career / technical campus of 16 public area high schools and 3 private high schools. WACC is one of 26 area career centers in Illinois.
What is WACC’s purpose?
WACC provides junior/senior level training in five cluster areas of Business and Related Technology, Consumer Services, Industrial Technology, Transportation Services, and Work Experience Coop. Education. These clusters represent 17 different occupational training areas.
Who may attend WACC?
WACC participation is open to juniors and seniors in any area participating high school. The school district they attend, or in which they reside, supports their attendance at WACC.
Earn College Credit by attending WACC
WACC has articulation and dual credit agreements in place with Sauk Valley Community College whereby college credit can be earned for WACC classes taken while still in high school. Ask your counselor about this opportunity!

Students – Specialized career/technical skills are taught for a variety of occupations.
Schools – Low enrollment, high cost classes are provided in a cost efficient manner through membership support and cooperation.
Business and Industry – A better prepared workforce is being trained through WACC classes.
Illinois and U.S. Economy – A better trained workforce gives the state and country a competitive edge in the world economy.
